A White Christmas

_DSC9937

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow…

Here in Southern California, we are use to our warm sunny weather and our ordinary green Christmas trees.  For one day, I wish I could see snow outside in my backyard.  While listening to “White Christmas”  I thought I should decorate Christmas trees with snow 🙂  I thought they turned out pretty cute!

I just love the holidays!!  These little Christmas cake pops were made for a holiday party for Garden Grove Police Department.  Last year, I had an order from them, but that was when I just started making cake pops.  This year, I got a call again and doubled my order!  I made 80 cake pops this year, and a few extras 🙂  This was my second time making Christmas trees (had to practice a week in advanced) and boy were these fun to make!!  Santa hats were also made and these were a bit more challenging too, but they turned out so cute!  I didn’t even realize how long it would take to make these!  I had extra cake pops left sooooo dip dip dip and decorate decorate decorate.  These sure made my students feel happy!  Being that it is the holidays, I felt generous and wrapped some individual ones as complimentary gifts with homemade tags for the person who ordered these!  Hope everyone enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them!

*Christmas Trees and Red Cake Pops = Red Velvet

*Santa Hats and White Cake Pops = Lemon

All Wrapped Up!

The holiday season is coming up soon!  Place an order today:)  This is one of my favorite flavors of all time.  Chocolate cake with a  mint chocolate coating!  I wrapped it up with a homemade tag.  Personalizing things is one of my favorite things to do!

Visionary International Halloween Benefit

I had a chance to help out my cousin plan a benefit for a non-profit humanitarian organization called Visionaries International.  They are supported entirely through personal donations and sponsorships.  They travel around the world providing quality education to fellow opthalmologists. Read more about the organization and help donate here.  This benefit was held at Hotel Angeleno on the West Lounge on the 17th floor!  Since it was near Halloween, everyone came dressed up, enjoyed some beer and wine, played some craps and black jack, and took some silly pictures at the photo booth.  Great music was playing while people were mingling on some appetizers, candy, and my halloween cake pops!  These were super fun to make, especially the mummies!!  The pumpkins were a challenge but I think I got the hang of it!  This benefit was a success:)

Happy Mother’s Day

It is that time of year again where it is Mother’s Day but E V E R Y D A Y should be Mother’s Day!  I am thankful for my mom for taking care of me and teaching me throughout all these years!  Here are special cake pops for you !!  I love the pink with a hint of sprinkles but my favorite was the confetti white covered cake pops! (:  LOVE YOU MOM!

Minty

Our first annual crappy white elephant gift exchange.  This was our annual Christmas potluck but we decided to throw in a crappy gift exchange.  Boy were there some pretty crazy gifts!!  After all the giggles, pictures, and TABOO game, food was ready and cake balls were stuffed in peoples mouths!  My favorite was the mint Oreo!

Christmas Cake Balls

My boyfriend had a company party and his co-worker asked me to make some cake balls since she tasted some at a previous party.  I was delighted to make some but of course, it was super hard since she wanted 3 different kinds of flavors but I made it happen!  After many hours, my kitchen had lots of Christmas spirit!  I had fun experimenting and mixing colors to get a GRINCH green looking color!  Definitely had fun baking while dancing to Christmas music!
