A year ago, I made my first big order of cake pops for a friend for her wedding day!  Now the lucky husband and wife are having a little one!  She wanted to make some cake pops to reveal the sex of the baby.  Covering half of them blue and half of them pink, they had to guess what the sex of the baby was.  One bite into the cake pop will reveal the sex of the baby and….DRUMROLL…..it’s a GIRL!  I also made some baby girl cake pops to celebrate the wonderful and joyous occasion!  This was my little gift to her and she had no idea I was making it!  Congrats to the lovely couple and may this little bundle of joy bring you both happiness!

My sister has a coworker and his birthday was coming up.  She was just going to make plain old cupcakes!  I told her that I would make cake pops for her just because I wanted to try something new!  I happen to know that her coworker loves the Los Angeles Angels baseball team so I wanted to try to make some baseballs!  Turned out pretty good for a first timer if I do say so myself.  I tried using a toothpick to draw on the stitches but that took way to long.  I used some parchment paper to make my own piping bag and that turned out a lot nicer and was a complete time saver!  I youtubed a DIY video and this really helped.  To view the video, click here.  I also experimented and replaced the oil for applesauce.  This turned out great because 1) it is not oily 2) it doesn’t turn the sticks yellow and 3) it’s healthier!!  Definitely using this method from now on! I hope her coworker enjoyed them!

Happy Birthday to Brandon!  I had so much fun making these cake pops!  This was my second time making an ombre affect for cake pops and this time around was a lot easier!  The first one can be found here. Definitely learning more as I make MORE!  I have learned that buying white candy melts is a lot easier than buying different colors because I can basically make any specific color I want.  These were red velvet and vanilla flavored!  This was my first time making a vanilla flavor and it tasted absolutely delightful!  I hope the birthday boy enjoys them as well as his guests.  Bought some boxes at my favorite store Papersource  to box up some extras because you can never have enough!  Thanks for ordering 🙂
